Consultation
We start with a conversation about your vision, your eye and general health history, medications, and how you use your eyes day to day.

Vision assessment
We measure how clearly you see at distance and up close, and how your eyes focus, move and work together.

Eye health assessment
We examine the front and back of your eyes and check internal eye pressure, looking for signs of eye conditions, some of which have no early symptoms.

Prescription discussion
We explain your results and your prescription in plain language, and answer any questions.

Recommendations
We recommend eyewear or lens options that suit your needs, plus any follow-up or referral if needed. There's no obligation to buy eyewear.
Why it matters
Why regular eyeexams matter.
Vision often changes slowly, so it's easy to adapt without noticing. An out-of-date prescription can mean more squinting, tired eyes or headaches at the end of the day.
Some eye conditions, glaucoma for example, can develop without noticeable symptoms early on. An eye exam is one of the ways they can be picked up and, where needed, referred on.
Eye exams also matter for children, whose vision affects learning and who may not realise they can't see clearly.
